I MAKE THINGS

I am a multimedia artist & UC Berkeley alumna, born and raised in South Africa and currently residing and practicing in the California Bay Area. My works are my means of interpreting the world as I have experienced it in a visual way and mainly deals with themes of identity, sexuality, psychology, and sentimentality. Recently I have become deeply interested in sentimentality and intimacy between people and objects alongside connection through exploration of things that feel especially significant and sentimental in people’s lives. I am also interested in looking at the relationships between art and objects, and art itself as an object. Through my life and through my art practice I hope to continue to explore different parts of my experience and a collective human experience that will hopefully provoke people to reflect on themselves and maybe even feel a little less alone.
